New: Pre-Finals
Previously, the Swiss winners were chosen at a single event and sent directly to the grand European final. Starting in 2026, regional pre-finals will also be held to include the whole of Switzerland and discover local talent.
The winners of the Swiss Championships will have the opportunity to compete in the grand European final against representatives from over 15 other European countries!

The best in Switzerland
Since 2021, three awards have been presented: "Best of Switzerland," "Jury's Favorite," and "People's Choice." The Swiss Street Food Awards are part of the European Street Food Awards, with the winner then qualifying for the Euro Final. In the pre-finals for German-speaking Switzerland, Ticino, and French-speaking Switzerland, the same regional awards are presented, but in the form of wooden spoons, which then also serve as a ticket to the grand Swiss final!
Honor where honor is due – in the Hall of Fame all former winners are immortalized.

Swiss Street Food Awards Finals
Big Final – Best of Switzerland
May 29th – May 31, 2026, Basel – Meret Oppenheim-Platz
The winners of the pre-finals will compete in the Grand Final at the end of May in Basel. The popular Swiss Street Food Awards will be contested over three days, with the audience voting.

The expert jury
The expert jury is a panel consisting of four to five restaurateurs, scene experts, and food critics or food bloggers. The jury decides who advances to the pre-finals and who wins the awards at the events themselves. Except, of course, for the People's Choice, which is voted on by the audience.
Jury:
Stéphanie Zosso (Culinary World Champions 22, Marmite Youngster 20, second place in the Golden Chef Competition 21), Ergin Dogan (Fatkitchens, chef & food influencer), Andreas Albonico-Seiler (Foodtrucks Switzerland, initiator of the awards), Mirosan Indrakumaran (Miro ich ha Hunger, influencer), Luna Doberer (Foodtruck Aperolino), Larissa Graf, Falstaff (publisher of the Falstaff Street Food Guide)
